The power of three is a simple rule that will help you keep your brows (or someone else's) in perfect proportion.

Who knew that an old-school ruler might come in handy when it comes to getting the perfect eyebrows. However, the power of three is a simple rule that will help you keep your brows (or someone else’s) in perfect proportion.

The Sun shared the trick, which involves marking three points to help draw the perfect shaped brows. According to the ancient Greeks, the perfect face has 3:2:3 proportions, which is what you’re looking for in brows too.

So, how do you find these three points? Take a ruler and line it up with the dimple of your nose and point the ruler straight up past the inner corner of your eye. This will give you your first point – where your eyebrow should start. Next, hold the ruler diagonally from the same point on your nose so that it goes through the pupil in your eye when you’re looking straight ahead.

This point is where your brow should arch. Finally, line the ruler up from that same point on your nose with the outside corner of your eye. This third point is where your brow should finish.

Use a brow pencil to mark out the points and then look at what you might need to do to shape your brow to fit that pattern. If you’re in doubt about the shape, the newspaper also highlighted several celebrities who have this perfect eyebrow shape, including Adele, Angelina Jolie and Phoebe Dynevor.

Another up and coming eyebrow trend is that of brow lamination. Harper’s Bazaar recently explained that this is how you can get the “fluffy brow” look without having to use brow gel. It’s also useful for anyone whose brow hairs naturally point downwards or are a bit unruly.
